Ulmart Zambia Limited is a wholly Zambian owned and registered company, incorporated on 4 October 2012 to provide quality engineering consultancy and services in civil, mechanical and electrical engineering.
Who we are
From the Linde Group to Lusaka
Ulmart Zambia was incorporated in 2012 under the Registration of Companies Act No. 10 and 18 of the Laws of Zambia — trading initially as Ulmart Trading Limited and adopting its present name in March 2017.
The company was founded by Chimya Mike Ulendo, a University of Zambia engineering graduate who spent four years with the Linde Group, the world’s largest industrial gas group, before returning home to bridge a gap he saw in the Zambian engineering industry.
Today Ulmart is the leading Zambian designer and installer of gas reticulation systems — medical, industrial, commercial, laboratory and domestic — and the leading provider of maintenance services for PSA oxygen plants, medical vacuum and medical air compressors, power backup solutions and water treatment plants. Alongside that specialist work, our civil division delivers mine infrastructure, industrial buildings and institutional projects nationwide.

Chimya Mike Ulendo
Managing Director
Graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Zambia in 2007. Spent four years with the Linde Group, the world’s largest gas group, before founding Ulmart Zambia to bridge a gap in the Zambian engineering industry.
Mwewa Anthony Langwa
Engineering Manager
An accomplished civil engineer holding a Bachelor’s degree in Civil and Environmental Engineering. Expert in structural analysis software including Prota Structure and Robot Structural Analysis.
Christopher Kachela
Mechanical Engineer
A mechanical engineering graduate with over ten years’ experience in the installation, construction, servicing and maintenance of LPG plants and fuel filling stations.
George Mugala
Biomedical Engineer
A graduate of Biomedical Engineering from Evelyn Hone College, responsible for all medical gas pipeline installations and the servicing of PSA medical oxygen plants.
Nthangali Mkandawire
Senior Technician — Compressors & PSA
An experienced compressor and medical gas equipment technician who has been involved in the installation and servicing of over half of all PSA medical oxygen generators in Zambia. Brings over twenty years of experience in this specific niche.
Chanda Mulembwe
Site Manager
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from Liaocheng University, China. As site engineer he has supervised the construction of several heavy-duty equipment workshops at Lumwana for Ulmart Zambia.
Maxwell Sitima
Safety Officer
An occupational health and safety practitioner with a degree in education and a certificate in occupational health and safety. Ensures compliance and adherence to ISO 45001:2018 safety standards on every Ulmart project.
Chilufya Mwamba
Human Resources Manager
A professional HR manager with over ten years’ experience in managing a diverse workforce, policy development, industrial relations and compensation and benefits administration. Holds a Diploma in Human Resource Management (NIPA, 2014) and a Bachelor of Business Administration (Cavendish University, 2019).
John Norman Tembo
Administration Manager
Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Theology and certificates in Business Management, Business Administration, and Sales and Marketing. Joined Ulmart in 2018 and has since implemented strategies that have made operations smoother.
Augustine Ulendo
Logistics Manager
Brings vast experience in logistics, including eleven years with the Zambian government. Runs the Ulmart fleet and coordinates delivery of materials, tools and other necessities to all Ulmart project sites.
